Bien qu'il ne s'agisse encore que d'un événement naissant, le Classic Bike Festival de l'année dernière n'a laissé aucun doute aux milliers de participants sur le fait qu'il devait devenir un élément permanent de l'agenda estival. Décrit par beaucoup comme un événement cycliste aux allures de festival, le divertissement fait partie intégrante du week-end.
Les précédents participants sauront que la plupart arrivent le vendredi soir pour se garer pour le week-end avec leur tente, caravane ou camping-car, puis se dirigent directement vers le chapiteau pour profiter de l'offre musicale.
The new features don’t end with music, however, as the Sunday has also been given a distinct Family Day vibe. It didn’t go unnoticed that Sundays see an increase in kids and so, to add to the fun, they’ll have a massive award-winning Kite Display by KiteCrew Ireland to amuse and astound. And as if that’s not enough the NI Lawnmower Racing Association have added the Classic Bike Festival to their fixture list and will be setting up their own course for a very intensive series of races. “I suppose this is one of the advantages of having the tremendous amount of space at Bishopscourt.’ one of the organisers enthused, “and we’re looking at adding the odd Bouncy Castle here and there to further entertain the kids”.
